The DofE Award is the world’s leading youth achievement award, giving millions of 14 – 24 year olds the opportunity to be the very best they can be.
Simonside Outdoor Adventure is a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Licensed Organisation for South Tyneside and is an Approved Activity Provider for Expeditions and Residential.
All staff who will deliver the Award are appropriately qualified and have vast experience of delivering DofE expeditions throughout the UK. All are approved as expedition supervisors/assessors by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
The school will be offering your daughter/son the opportunity to sign up for the Duke of Edinburgh Award in the ‘summer term’ in Year 9 for the Bronze Award. If you are interested in signing up Silver or Gold, this will be offered at the start of year 11 (Silver) and year 12 (Gold).
